Licensed Veterinary Technician
The FFAS Spay/Neuter Clinic is a fast-paced, high-volume surgery clinic. We are
seeking several Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our team!

Duties and Responsibilities include:
Restrain and handle cats and dogs
Patient check-in and discharge
Maintain clean dog ward, cat ward and transport area
Assist surgeons
Prep animals for surgery
Induce animals for surgery
Prepare surgical packs (routinely clean surgical instruments)
Keep prep area at optimal functionality
Keep prep and surgery areas clean
Administer vaccines and medications
Keep accurate anesthesia/surgical medical records
Monitor animals under anesthesia; respond to irregularities appropriately
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after initial training period.
Handle chemicals, bio-hazardous waste, and requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
Candidates must be able to restrain difficult cats and sometimes large, unsocialized
dogs without getting injured or endangering others.
Part-time 15-20 hours per week or full-time 36-40 hours per week.
Flexible schedule includes shifts between Monday – Friday 8 am – 4 pm.
Seeking:
License certification
1 year of veterinary surgical technician experience required
Experience as a vet tech in a high-volume surgical setting preferred
Fear Free certified preferred
Willingness to teach and to learn.

Salary: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
