Rehoming Post: Zeus

Meet Zeus! He is neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. This sweet boy is a 4yo mixed breed that was adopted from a shelter a few months ago but unfortunately, he shows some aggression toward men so he needs a home better suited for his needs. He is currently living with a guy whom he loves but when other males come to visit or when he’s out on walks he shows some aggression towards men. He gets along well with women as well as other dogs. I do not know how he does around cats. He is crate trained (with a treat enticement) and housetrained. He knows sit, stay, come, and paw. He sometimes has a strong pull while on the leash for walks when he really has to go to the bathroom or if he sees a squirrel. But otherwise, he will walk with a loose leash. Using a harness instead of just a collar greatly helps with his pull. We are also working on his jumping on people. We are making progress but it will require further reinforcement. Zeus’ favorite activities include playing tug as well as chasing and chewing tennis balls. He can get a little chewy on the hands while playing but he is not trying to hurt. He is getting better with his hand chewing but will need additional correction a little bit longer. He also loves to cuddle and sleep with his head on your chest. I was told that he has a slight muscle atrophy in his left hind leg but he runs, jumps, and gets zoomies like nothing is wrong and rarely shows any discomfort. Overall, he is a sweet, loving boy who wants to cuddle, play, and protect his owner. Please reach out if you think you have the perfect home for Zeus.
