Big hearts not required…but all our volunteers have them!Faithful Friends relies greatly on the generosity of our volunteers 7 days a week! Flexible schedules are available both at our shelter and throughout New Castle County (with some Pet Therapy opportunities in Sussex County).
We can only provide the many animal welfare services that we offer thanks to the support of people like yourself, so we are very excited to get you started. Foster Cats and Kittens
You can foster orphaned bottle babies, kittens with socialization needs, pregnant cats, and/or adult cats with special medical or social needs.
Foster Dogs and Puppies
You can foster orphaned puppies from infancy or older, pregnant moms with puppies, and/or dogs with special medical or social needs.
Become a Pet Therapy Team
Do you have a friendly pet you want to share with nursing home residents, students from kindergarten to university, and more? Join our Pet Therapy Program!
Fundraise for Faithful Friends
Are you creative or organized? We hosts various fundraising events throughout the year that are run by volunteers that our shelter relies on to fund various needs.
