VETERINARY SURGEON
Do you love surgery? Faithful Friends Animal Society is seeking a full or part time veterinarian to join our team in our new modern shelter with medical wing with surgical suite and new mobile clinic. The ideal candidate would be mostly focused on public and shelter spay/neuter. The ability to do life-saving and special surgeries like mass removals, hernia repairs, etc. is a plus!
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform high-volume spay and neuter surgeries as well as some specialty surgeries
• Communicate with clients in a clear and caring way, discuss surgery results and after care, helping pet owners understand how to properly care for their pet after a special surgery
REQUIREMENTS
• DVM degree (or equivalent) with Delaware veterinary license
• 1 year small animal veterinary experience
• Proficient in high quality spay/neuter for cats and dogs
• Must be able to hold a DEA license
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
• Humane Alliance high volume spay/neuter training a PLUS
• Fear-Free program certification is a PLUS.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is a PLUS.
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative and team-building skills
• Strong communication skills
COMPENSATION
Competitive salary commensurate with experience $100.00 to $125.00 per hour with a $10,000 Sign-on bonus and up to $5,000 Relocation bonus with full-time employment.
