Cat Caretaker
The Cat Caretaker positions are part-time and full-time minimum wage positions. It’s a physical job that requires someone who is reliable and can work in a fast-paced, caring environment. The Cat Caretakers ensure that the cats receive the excellent standards of care that Faithful Friends Animal Society expects and provides.
- 20-25 and 40 hours/week (4 to 6-hour shifts) Monday through Sunday
- Morning, evening, and weekend shifts including holidays
- Must be flexible with availability
- Cattery experience a plus
- Mature, professional, reliable, and punctual (arriving on time and for all assigned shifts is a must)
- Detail-oriented
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work with minimal supervision and as a team
- Able to follow instructions and cleaning protocol
- Respectful of all cat and dog breeds
- Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and washing cages and common cat living areas
- Scooping and washing litter boxes and scoops
- Cleaning cat trees and cat towers
- Feeding and providing fresh water
- Washing food and water bowls
- Providing fresh bedding and assisting with laundry
- Observing cats for possible medical issues
- Monitoring eating habits
- Completing observation sheets
- Washing carriers
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
