Faithful Friends Animal Society Expands Veterinary Care Services as Dr. Meghan DesGroseilliers Joins Team
(New Castle, Delaware, August 2, 2024) — Dr. Meghan DesGroseilliers has joined Faithful Friends Animal Society as a full-time veterinarian. The addition of Dr. DesGroseilliers to Faithful Friends’ Medical Department team will allow the animal rescue organization to expand its veterinary care services for shelter animals and pets in the community. In addition to performing surgeries, Dr. DesGroseilliers will offer wellness services enabling Faithful Friends to provide greater continuity of care. Faithful Friends is also expanding its community dental care offerings.
Dr. DesGroseilliers will work with Dr. Rob Lawrie, who joined Faithful Friends as Veterinary Medical Director in April 2024. “I’m excited to continue growing our compassionate veterinary services for homeless animals in need and offer more low-cost services to animals in the community,” says Jane Pierantozzi, Faithful Friends founder and executive director. “Adding Dr. DesGroseilliers to our veterinary team will enable us to expand surgeries both for our shelter animals and animals in the community who need spay/neuter or other procedures. We will now be able to provide animals in the community affordable wellness and sick care five days a week.”
Prior to joining Faithful Friends, Dr. DesGroseilliers worked in a private veterinary practice in Delaware providing wellness and sick care, spay/neuter, soft tissue and emergency surgeries to small animals.
Dr. DesGroseilliers is a 2021 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical training at Louisiana State University and has a special interest in emergency medicine. Dr. DesGroseilliers is a member of the Delaware Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. DesGroseilliers has a passion for rescued animals. She has three rescued dogs and three rescued cats.
