A Heartwarming Rescue – Faithful Friends Saves a Cat in Need
At Faithful Friends, our mission has always been to protect and care for animals, ensuring they find safe and loving homes. But sometimes, our journey with these animals doesn’t end after adoption. Last week, we were reminded of this in a deeply moving way.
We received alarming news about one of our previously adopted cats. This beloved feline had found itself in a high-kill shelter in California. The thought of a pet who once experienced love and care now facing such a dire situation was heartbreaking. As soon as we learned the news, our team sprang into action.
An incredible donor stepped in and offered to sponsor the cost. This generous contribution covered the cost of sending Alison, one of our dedicated staff members, on a round-trip flight to California to save the cat.
On Tuesday, Alison flew out and arrived in California ready to rescue! She secured the cat from the shelter, ensuring it would be brought back to Delaware, a no-kill state. By the end of the day, both Alison and the cat were safely on their way back home to Faithful Friends.
This story is a beautiful reminder of the power of community, compassion, and the difference we can make when we work together.
