Full-Time Delaware Licensed Veterinary Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced, Delaware licensed veterinary technician to join our dedicated team in our non-profit no kill animal shelter.

This is a high volume, fast paced environment where our mission is to provide superior medical treatment for the shelter pets and high volume spay/neuter and related surgeries.

A veterinary technician experience is required in:

  • Restraining pets for exams and minor procedures.
  • Administering oral and injectable medications.
  • Educating staff and fosters about pet care and treatment plans.
  • Preparing pets for and assisting with surgical procedures.
  • Maintaining patient records.
  • Independently follow treatment plans set by veterinarians.
  • Intake, vaccinate and evaluate new dogs and cats being brought into shelter.
  • Follow laws and procedures for shelter practice.

The Cat Caretaker position is a part-time minimum wage position. It’s a physical job that requires someone who is reliable and can work in a fast-paced, caring environment. Cattery Supervisor
Full-time / Staff Position

The Cattery Supervisor position is a salaried position. The Cattery Supervisor oversees all duties of the cat caretaking staff, and performs hands-on cleaning, ensuring that all policies and protocol are followed, staff stay on task, and cats receive the excellent standards of care that Faithful Friends Animal Society expects and provides. This is a physical job that requires someone who is reliable and can work in a fast-paced, caring environment. Excellent communication, recordkeeping and computer skills required.   Seeking someone who is mature, organized and able to work independently, as well as a team, with the Cat Department Manager and Team, and Clinic Staff. Ideal candidate would have some experience working with cats, and must be a fast learner. Cat Medication Technician
Part-time / Staff Position

The Cat Medication Technician is a part-time, hourly position. The Cat Medication Technician administers medications and treatments ordered by Faithful Friends Animal Society’s shelter Veterinarian for our cat residents. Seeking someone who is mature, organized, and able to pay very close attention to details. Must be passionate about cats. Training will be provided and the candidate must be a fast learner. An ideal candidate would have some experience working with and/or medicating cats in a veterinary office, boarding, or related animal care business. Prior training in restraining cats and administering medications and fluids is a plus. Customer Care Representative

Faithful Friends seeks a mature front desk staff member who is able to provide professional customer service in a hectic, fast-paced environment. Experience dealing with emotionally charged or urgent situations related to animal welfare or human services, and ability to remain calm under pressure is required. Must be knowledgeable about dogs and cats and general pet care, and demonstrate a passion for helping people and animals. Bi-lingual a plus.
