He is neutered and chipped, he does well with female cats but not male cats. He was feral for the first 6-8 months of his life, and is almost 7 years old. (His birthday is in September, he was apart of a feral colony in my neighborhood.)
We saved him, he had a serious injury on his rear-end of unknown origin, During his 6m of quarantine we fell in love with him and named him Hades. (He lived in the basement during this time.) he is all white, but curious, so often gets dirty, we keep him indoors as he has feral cat tendencies. We have 2 young children, he’s not violent with them, but avoids them. He is good motivated, and we “tamed” him by fending every meal in our laps. He trusts my husband and I, and when the kids are asleep he often crawls in our laps.
This is the most important part of his adoption. We are attempting to rehome him not because of him, but because of his special needs. He was born with a heart condition that we did not discover until he was almost 2 years old. He went into congestive heart failure, and we’re told he had 4-6 months to live. This was July/August of 2020. Because of inflation and our children, who were not born when he almost died, we can no longer afford his medications. He is on: pimobendan, furosemide, clopidogrel, and atenolol. 2 of his medications are treats, and we wrap the other two in them.
When adopting him finances and demeanor MUST be considered.
