Rehoming: Roodi
Roodi is our 7 year old cat who we unfortunately are having to rehome. He is an extremely sweet cat who I have had since he was born, but my husband and I recently have had to relocate and that has triggered a flare of some of Roodi’s chronic health issues. Roodi struggles with chronic IBS, which is well managed with medication usually, but the vet believes stress is causing a flare up of his symptoms. On top of our new living situation with multiple large dogs, we also just welcomed our first baby home. This sadly has added more stress on Roodi, and made his condition worse since we’ve brought our son home. My husband and I have tried nearly everything to help him, but we are unable to change our living environment to give him a space away to separate from the dogs/our baby to reduce his stress, and with his symptoms worsening it is no longer a safe environment for our new family or our sweet kitty. These recent events have made us realize we can no longer provide the care he needs and deserves, so we’re hoping we can find Roodi a loving new home.
Roodi is neutered, fully vaccinated, and we will provide his medication, the remainder of the food he eats for his IBS, and vet information. He is genuinely one of the nicest cats and has a very sweet temperament. He loves people and behaves well with other cats. He tolerates our calmer dogs, but he is very scared of our dogs who are higher energy. He has not been around children with the exception of our infant son, with whom he was not aggressive towards, but seemed more jealous of. He loves being pet and cuddling every chance he gets
