Dave: Could this older, experienced gentleman be your match?
Dave has been a part of the Faithful Friends family for many years! He was originally one of our barn cats, living the high life outside in our enclosed “cat barn” area. He could be found lounging around, sunning himself during the day, and inside the heated/air-conditioned barn in the evenings. Eventually, Dave really started to warm up to our staff and volunteers and his social skills changed significantly. So, he was moved inside to one of our group living “cat condos.” Time passed, Dave got older and this sweet guy began to have medical issues that affected both his ears and eyes. Although his handsome looks may have diminished a bit, his personality got bigger and brighter. Dave’s been a staff and volunteer favorite in our Senior Cat Condo, often the first cat to greet visitors, and is well known for giving some of the best cat hugs.
Most recently, Dave’s health issues flared up and he battled an eye infection. Despite treatment, Dave’s condition was only getting worse. It was decided the best way to alleviate his pain and help him live the most comfortable life was to remove his eye. He was then moved into a special medical foster home so he could get lots of love and care during his recovery. Dave is on the mend and, thanks to your support, he will always have a home and a family at Faithful Friends. However, it’s our hope that someone out there will see past his unusual appearance and give this BIG sweetheart the forever home he deserves!
