Louisiana Transport

On Tuesday, August 30th, a staff member and volunteer drove to Morristown, NJ to meet an aircraft from Louisiana to Morristown, NJ, that included more than 140 vulnerable pets, like asymptomatic heartworm-positive shelter dogs, homeless cats, and hard-to-place larger dogs. Greater Good Charities, NBCUniversal, Hillspet, St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center along and several participating shelters worked together to help save these animals.
This airlift was part of Greater Good Charities’ Good Flights program and funded by Hill’s Pet Nutrition and The Animal Rescue Site as part of NBC’s Clear the Shelters. In addition to helping fund the flight mission, Hill’s Pet Nutrition is donating more than 6,000 pounds of food to support pets at the participating sending and receiving shelters.
Faithful Friends is so grateful to be a part of these lifesaving missions and we have welcomed 9 new pups into our shelter!
