Pierre, a 4-year-old Yorkie, was tragically hit by a car on October 19th 2024, and sustained multiple serious injuries, including a significant femur fracture. Faithful Friends Animal Society transported him from ACCT Philly in order to help save his life. Despite efforts to save his leg, the severity of the damage ultimately required amputation. His surgery was more complex than initially anticipated, but is recovering well.

Since the accident, Pierre had been on strict crate rest to allow his body to heal. While at the shelter, he continued to rest and regain his strength.

Although the road to recovery was challenging, this brave little dog has shown remarkable resilience as he continues to recover and adjust to life post-surgery. Pierre was adopted in February 2024!
