Bluey
Bluey, a resilient Chihuahua puppy, was found abandoned in Canby Park just before Christmas 2024, suffering from untreated injuries that left him partially paralyzed. Concerned neighbors contacted Faithful Friends, and we stepped in to provide the necessary care.
Under the dedicated foster care of Erika, one of his rescuers, Bluey made remarkable progress. He is receiving specialized orthopedic and neurological treatments and has been undergoing hydrotherapy sessions at home. Within a week, Bluey achieved the milestone of standing on his own to drink water. Additionally, with a wheelchair provided by Tyson’s Love and Hope on Wheels, he has begun taking steps using his back legs, demonstrating significant improvement.
FFAS highlights Bluey’s story as a testament to animal resilience and the impact of community support. Bluey has since been adopted, and his forever home is continuing his physical therapy at home.
