Scooter

Scooter was surrendered after the individuals who found her, took her to urgent care, where they learned that the surgery needed to correct her congenital defect—a condition where she had only one opening for urination and defecation—would be extremely expensive. Seeking help, they turned to us.
Dr. Lawrie, Faithful Friends’ Veterinary Medical Director, performed a complex surgery to create a separate opening for her. The initial recovery was challenging as we managed her pain and constipation, but with time and care, she has made significant progress.
Since coming to our shelter on December 18th, Scooter has improved tremendously and now only requires Miralax and Lactulose to comfortably pass stool.
